General Summary: This position is responsible for successfully
leading the College in coordination of institutional regional accreditation and
assessment activities and supporting programmatic accreditation. In addition, this position assists with designing,
implementing and managing the College’s data and evidence based institutional effectiveness
strategies including strategic planning, accreditation, and assessment. Also,
communicates findings and recommendations for action in a clear and timely
manner to facilitate continuous, data-informed decision-making, and continuous
improvement throughout the College.
Requirements: Master’s degree
required in assessment, curriculum and instruction, institutional research,
institutional effectiveness, planning, higher education administration,
statistics, social sciences or related field from a regionally accredited
university and at least 5 years of progressively responsible higher education leadership experience,
including institutional research. Or
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 7 years’
experience in accreditation and/or assessment at an educational institution. Excellent
oral, written, organizational, analytical, change management, and
problem-solving skills. Ability to work
well with cross functional teams, and to work within tight timeframes and meet
strict deadlines. Excellent interpretation of statistical data and a commitment
to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Preference given
to candidates with experience in designing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed
methods research, data analytics, and reports and presentations.
Duties: - Assists AVP of Assessment and
Institutional Effectiveness on best practices as it relates to planning,
assessment, and resource allocation.
- Coordinates all written correspondence
with Middle States as well as edits, and proofs all documentation for
notifications, substantive change, and program closures.
- Maintains detailed knowledge regarding
current Middle States policies, practices, and procedures.
- Assists with activities required for self-study,
site visits, annual institutional update and any supplemental information
reports.
- Assists with oversight and administrative
duties related to the College’s Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness
Team.
- Writes and develops content used to
document compliance with accreditation, assessment, and college-wide continuous
improvement.
- Assists with institutional research activities
to support compliance reporting and general research assistance as they relate
to initiatives impacting organizational performance and improvement.
- Adheres to and maintains policies and
procedures designed to foster high standards of ethical conduct, including data
integrity and confidentiality.
- Assists with ad hoc and regular reporting
requirements.
- Assists with the development of Power BI
Dashboards.
- Oversees administrative units and student
support services assessment and planning activities.
- Knowledge of SQL is preferred but not
required.
- Participates in and/or leads various
committee assignments.
- Develops and facilitates workshops on
assessment and assists with workshops on accreditation.
- Maintains confidentiality and integrity of
information in support of accreditation and assessment.
- Performs other duties as required or
assigned.
Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
