General Summary: With support from the Division of Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness and the Provost’s office, the College-wide Assessment Facilitators will facilitate the development, implementation, and evaluation of short-term and long-term assessment planning for the College. The College-wide Assessment Facilitators will be charged with re-engaging the faculty base and building support for the creation, and ultimately the maintenance, of a meaningful assessment cycle that will be used to drive data-based decisions regarding teaching, learning, and resource allocation.

Master's degree required, doctorate degree preferred.  Minimum five years of full-time, post-secondary classroom teaching experience.  Experience developing and analyzing classroom assessments.  Experience utilizing TracDat.  Experience developing curriculum and associated assessment mechanism.  Experience with project management.



Job Duties:  

 

1. Provide visible leadership for college-wide assessment efforts and activities by conducting presentations and providing timely updates on the progress of assessment activities.
2. Facilitate a culture that embraces assessment as a central component of student success.
3. Lead faculty discussions that will result in the development of short-term and long-term assessment plans.
4. Facilitate the collection, analysis, and reporting of results and implications related to curriculum maps and assessment data.
5. Coordinate the development of assessment reporting in support of local, regional, state, and national monitoring and accreditation.
6. Coordinate the efforts of the Assessment Team during the academic year.
7. Coordinate the efforts of the volunteer faculty assessment liaisons and coordinators
8. Train faculty assessment liaisons and coordinators to support campus-based assessment practices.
9. Partner with the Office of Professional Development to design and implement a series of workshops and trainings in support of increased effectiveness of college-wide assessment activities.
10. Develop and deliver faculty training on relevant technology solutions
11. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
