General Summary:  Prepare and set up labs for industrial technology programs.

Requirements: 

Associate’s degree or equivalent in technology with a major emphasis in computer electronics and robotics; experience in construction and repair of electronic equipment.

 

Physical Requirements:

If applicable, may require physical exertion to move, lift, or carry heavy boxes or other heavy materials; may be required to stand for long periods of time; may be exposed to chemicals.

Duties: 

1.       Assist in setting up industrial technology labs.

2.    Help to implement inventory control systems of laboratory/shop equipment and supplies in collaboration with departmental faculty and directed by the academic deans.

3.    Assist in setting up laboratory experiments and utilizing equipment in support of industrial technology programs.

4.      Assist in assembly and preparation of equipment and supplies requested by departmental faculty for laboratory use by students.

5.       Assist departmental faculty in the preparation of specialized instructional materials.

6.    Maintain open lab hours for all industrial technology laboratories, including makerspaces as applicable, as requested.

7.      Install, test and maintain electronic lab equipment in assisting with departmental faculty projects and teaching objectives, as directed by the academic deans.

8.       Work with ITS in maintaining the computers and software in industrial technology labs.

9.       Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Clearances:  Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
