The Community College of Allegheny County requires all employees to obtain three different background certifications or clearances:
- PA State Police Criminal History Records Check
- PA Department of Human Services - Child Abuse History Check
- PA Department of Human Services - FBI Fingerprint Check

Important! The ORIGINALS of all required clearances must be presented for review and verification. Originals will be returned to the employee after verification. These clearance are transferable and valid for five years.

Browser Requirements
The recommended web browsers for this site are Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.x-11.x, Microsoft Edge, Firefox version 60 or newer, or Chrome version 66 or newer using a 32 bit or 64 bit browser. All other web browsers or versions (such as Safari and Opera) are not supported. Web browsers need to accept cookies and have scripting enabled. Ensure that pop-up blockers are disabled.
Fee
The current fee for this clearance is $25.25.

Instructions
How To Video: How to obtain Clearance #1 - PA Dept. of Human Services - FBI Fingerprint
- Apply online at https://uenroll.identogo.com/
- Enter the service code 1KG756 and select “go”.
- Select “schedule or manage appointment” link.
- Complete all of the required personal Information. Select “NO” to the question if you have an authorization code (coupon code).
- Select from a drop down menu on what form of identification document you will bring to the site for fingerprinting.
- Select the location and choose a date and time for an appointment.
- Go to one of the designated locations to get fingerprinted.
The $23.85 fee is paid at the site where fingerprinting is completed.
You will be photographed as part of the process during your appointment.
You can cancel an appointment or reschedule if necessary.
Make sure you take the photo identification you identified when registering with your appointment. - The blue clearance document or eligibility letter is mailed directly to the applicant/employee to turn in at the requesting employer. This process is expected to take 10 days or less.
If you do not receive your clearance within 30-days of your fingerprinting appointment, please contact the Department of Human Services to check the mailing address and to request a duplicate copy of your clearance by calling 877-371-5422, Option 4 for FBI Fingerprinting clearances.

Submitting Your Renewed Clearances
Employees have two options to submit their renewed clearances to the Office of Human Resources:
1. Virtually via email and a Zoom meeting
2. In-Person at the Employee Processing Center (EPC)
ATTENTION NEW HIRES: New hires are to submit their clearances during their Pre-Hire Meeting, so please do not schedule a separate clearance appointment.
Schedule an appointment to submit clearances virtually
Before scheduling, please follow the steps below.
1. Schedule a virtual appointment through Calendly using the following link. Once clearances are received via email, a Zoom link will be attached to this meeting. (Appointments will be cancelled if clearances are NOT received 24 hours before the scheduled meeting time.)

2. Email humanresources@ccac.edu and attach clear, quality PDFs of all clearances you are submitting. If you are having difficulty, your department's secretary can most likely assist you.
3. If submitting your DHS FBI Clearance:
During the Zoom meeting, you must present your official blue FBI Fingerprinting Clearance from the PA Department of Human Services. You should have received this official clearance in the mail.
4. Present a photo ID during the Zoom meeting.

3. Present all original Clearances at your appointment. (ONLY printouts of the Child Abuse and PA State Police Criminal clearances are acceptable.)
4. A photo ID is required.
5. Clearance copies will be retained in Perceptive Content for the College's records.
6. Originals are returned and retained by the employee.
