Position Title: BNY Early College Program Assistant Director (Foundation-Funded, FT)

Additional Information: Some evenings and weekends required, along with travel to other locations. General Summary:  This position is to promote, coordinate, and administer BNY Early College Program courses for high school dual enrollment students . Represents CCAC at events and activities for students and families outside of the classroom setting. Frequently collaborates with CCAC directors, deans and workforce development. Works with high school students on their success inside and outside of the classroom. monitors students’ progress through credit courses.

Requirements:  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. A bachelor’s degree in education, science, marketing, business, social work, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience.

2. An associate’s degree in education, science, marketing, business, social work, or a related field. A minimum of five years experience. 


COMPETENCIES:

· Experience with sales, marketing, admissions, and recruitment.

· Experience with Microsoft Office, relational databases, and web content development.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:

· Dual Enrollment and Early College programs

Skills and Abilities to:

· Strong sales, organization, people, communication, and follow-up skills.

Duties:  

1.     Promotes, coordinates, and administers Early College Program courses for high school dual enrollment students

2.     Works with college leadership on enrollment management and retention initiatives for early college students.

3.     Confers with prospective students and parents/family members regarding BNY early college enrollment processes, academic programs, and support services.

4.     Schedules and conducts information sessions, programs, orientations, workshops, milestone events/activities with Allegheny County school districts and community partners on BNY Early College Program Initiatives.

5.     Expands college and career development learning experiences for all students to support career and college readiness.

6.     Maintains knowledge of the rules and regulations of CCAC by frequently reviewing and practicing ensuring compliance relative to other applicable duties.

7.     Interfaces or networks with appropriate internal and external parties to develop or enhance recruitment opportunities and activities.

8.     Develops and maintains relationships with personnel representing high schools, social agencies, and organizations.

9.  Maintains contact with the academic departments, placement, continuing education, and college centers to remain current about latest programs, program changes, and other information critical to the successful recruitment of new students.

10.  Prepares and submits reports as requested; maintains accurate records and statistical data.

11.  Performs other duties as required or as assigned.

Clearances:  Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
